Purna yoga takes a holistic approach to yoga, integrating both the physical postures but also philosophy, meditation and pranayama (breath regulation). Blocks, belts and bolsters are available to be used to support and modify postures safely. Joy is encouraged!

Foundations of Yoga Course 
Term 1, 2019
Monday evenings: 7:30-8:30pm
6 week course – $108
(4, 11, 18 Feb; 3 weeks break, then 18, 25 March & 1 May)

This course is designed for those who wish to learn yoga or who wish to revisit the fundamentals of yoga alignment and philosophy.  The focus of the course is to help people learn anatomically correct alignment in poses in order to stay safe, build strength and gain freedom from pain and stiffness. The poses taught in these classes provide the basic foundations and are delivered in a slow and steady pace making the course accessible to all levels of student.  There is time at the end of each class for rest and meditation so that you leave feeling calm & refreshed.

During the Course you will learn:

– Foundation and Standing Poses
– Hip Openers and Twists
– Shoulder Opening and Gentle Backbends
– Forward Bends and Restorative Poses
– Fundamentals of Hatha Yoga Philosophy

We welcome all ages and abilities and all equipment is provided free of charge.

Restorative/Therapeutic Yoga

Restorative Yoga is a passive and mentally quietening  practice that is deeply calming to the nervous system, relaxing to the body and nurturing to the emotions. We use bolsters, blankets, blocks and belts to support the body in resting poses, explore various Pranayama (yogic breath) and Meditation techniques, to refresh the mind/body connection and develop mindfulness  The pace of each session is slow and sweet and provides you with a safe space so you can reconnect with your true nature.  Restorative Yoga is suitable for everybody, even those with little or no yoga experience. After this beautiful practice you will leave with deep feelings of tranquility, harmony and connection between your body, mind, breath and emotions.
All levels welcome.
Therapeutic classes are $20 each.

Intermediate level Yoga
Enjoy working towards the deeper and stronger poses while learning correct alignment principles and the philosophy behind the practice of yoga asana.  Suitable for those with some prior yoga experience who wish to challenge themselves a little.

Semi-private Yoga

Semi-private yoga sessions allow a high degree of personalised tuition.  With a maximum of 4 participants per class, these sessions are held from Deb’s home studio in Wesley Hill.  Term commitment is required.  $25 per session x by length of term.

Private Yoga Classes:
 These ‘one to one’ yoga sessions support you to deepen your yoga practice through specific personalised instruction.  You will also receive help with practical approaches to injury and pain management to make yoga classes more accessible to you.
$85 / initial 1.5 hr session
$70 / follow-on 1 hour sessions

All mats, bolsters and blankets are provided.  Simply wear something comfortable and come along!
All daytime classes are able to be attended casually.

Day classes
$18 / $16 concession (except Restorative/Therapeutic which is $20).
All daytime classes are casual attendance so just turn up whenever it suits you.

Class Pass (10 sessions)
$170 / $150 concession
For those who come more regularly, there is the option to purchase a Class Pass.
Valid for 4 months.
